LOCAL AUTHORITY
Grove Social Care provide quality supported accommodation to young peopleGrove Social Care is passionate about the young people that we are fortunate enough to support. Our Senior Management and many staff have years of experience in supporting young people in supported living environments, as well as in sports teams and youth projects. We place young people at the heart of what we do – we listen and respect what they have to say, respect their rights and hopes for the future and are committed to keeping them safe and addressing their needs. Our ethos is to be supportive, nurturing and understanding.
- We seek to provide accommodation that is homely, comfortable, well-maintained and safe – saying “its our house – but your home”. We want young people to feel happy in and proud of their home.
- We seek to provide motivated, trained, capable staff who are genuine, friendly, caring, flexible, able to build good relationships with young people; who are good role models and can work together, including with other agencies to offer the best support and opportunities to young people.
- From this secure base environment, we seek to support young people, via our “My Life” programme to build effective support networks and develop independent living skills that will support and give them confidence in their future pathway.
Grove Social Care can provide you fully trained, experienced, flexible, committed staff.
To ensure we supply the best staff, our staff are required to attend our mandatory professional training with our highly experienced trainers (who have been in the industry for over 20 years) to pass on their experience and knowledge of the role covering a wide range of topics. Staff will also complete shadow shifts before working for us to gain some hands-on experience of what to expect on the job.

Our Properties
Our homes provide welcoming, nurturing environments, with privacy, space and staffing levels that are tailored around supporting young people to achieve their potential, despite challenges (e.g. 1:1, 2:1 if needed for a time). Our homes are well maintained, quality assured and well equipped (including new white goods with each new admission). Young people have a key to the front door and they also have a lockable, single bedroom.
Out of hours, we provide local, 24/7 ‘on-call’ emergency response services staffed by managers. Our teams can respond quickly to the service needs and are very experienced in working closely with Emergency Duty Teams. We can take emergency/short notice admissions as our staff are skilled and experienced in making the transition smooth for young people who are admitted from secure environments, placement breakdowns in other provisions, or when emergency safeguarding or need to relocate, situations are required.
On arrival, young people are provided with a Home/Welcome guide and are inducted into our service where they will be informed of house rules, emergency contacts, evacuation procedures and safety. Part of making young people feel at home and welcome involves staff assisting them to purchase items to help personalise their homes, helping to develop a sense of ownership.
